In 2013 the Thompson's bought the castle from the MacClaren's, who bought the property it in 1932. The new owners have since completely restored the castle to ensure it will be remain an admired piece of Scottish architecture for at least another 160 years. This was a huge task with a new roof required as an example.
With the majority of the restoration now complete, works will continue to develop the interior of the castle, the gardens and surrounding area.
